UNCOVERED: The One Secret To Easily Play The Banjo Songs You Love Fast, Even If You’ve Never Picked Up The Instrument Before!

Banjo. This wonderfully unique instrument is an absolute joy to play. Most banjo books try to make you run before you can walk, often putting people off. If you’re a beginner or musician who wants to play great banjo tunes—my teaching method shows you how to play the songs you love.

I’m telling you now if you practice what I’ll show you in the Academy every day—you’ll be able to play almost any song you want.

It doesn’t matter how old, inexperienced or if you’ve already given up. The Academy will give you the keys to the Banjo. Take Charles, for example; “Thanks, Joff I am 78 years old I had a banjo since I was 22 didn’t have no-one to teach me. I learned Cripple Creek in two weeks” — Charles Low.

Welcome, Banjo player! Thanks for reading. Most people that come to me are either a total beginner who’s only just picked up their instrument or an experienced musician who wants to bring Banjo into their setlist.

Wherever you’re at, I’m sure I can help you play any song you want, as long as you’re prepared to put in the work.

During my fifty years of performing and teaching Banjo, I got tired of overly complicated instruction books.

If you’re a total beginner, you want a simple set of hand positions and instructions to comfortably make progress.

And if you’re a musician, then you want to be able to quickly add specific Banjo songs in to your performance.

A lot of banjo material out there is a little too complicated. All most banjo players want, is to be able to play certain songs they already love.

You see, there’s a far better way to learn Banjo, and I’ll tell you all about it…

I’ve played and taught Banjo for over 50 years now. I’ve performed live on stage in front of thousands of people and been featured on BBC Radio 1, MTV, and other media channels.

All that experience gave me the keys to the Banjo. Granting anyone, no matter if you’re a total beginner or a musician, the ability to play any song you want with confidence if you practice my techniques.

Many students struggle with conventional techniques in books.

Most standard banjo instructions get far too complicated too soon. Students often felt overwhelmed as they failed to put too many principles into practice all at once. I knew there had to be a better way…

After discovering one of the oldest recorded banjo styles, everything changed forever…

My hero, Earl Scruggs, played a style called Thumb Lead for 7 years as a child. All before his bluegrass days.

Thumb Lead, also known as ‘double thumbing,’ is a 2-finger technique using just a few simple hand-positions. It makes it effortless to play the Banjo.

Most styles take ages to master. Thumb Lead simplifies practice—producing that rich folky sound with less technical challenges.

It’s adaptable too. Making it straightforward to learn any song across multiple genres.

Most folk, pop, and rock songs play only a five, six, or seven notes of the scale. This means you don’t need many hand positions to play almost all music on the Banjo.

I was getting somewhere with this technique, then frustration hit…

I realized there was hardly any info on Thumb Lead out there. Most books only had one bar!? It wasn’t close to enough. I wanted more…

About to give up, while playing one of my favorite tunes…suddenly, it hit me.

Years of working as an engineer (before teaching Banjo) taught me to take a detailed approach and work out the problem myself.

After experimenting, I discovered you can equally play as well with 3-fingers as you can with 2.

I struck gold…

I figured out a teaching method that uses 3 fingers and is as simple as playing with 2. It’s a far better and more enjoyable way to perform.

If you’re a beginner, using just a few simple hand positions—you can learn and play almost all songs with far less effort.

And if you’re already a musician, then you can quickly adapt the Banjo and add any song you want to your performance.

I started to map out what I call ‘the three foundations of banjo musicianship,‘ and it changed the game for my students forever.

With those simple hand positions and the three foundations—my students became banjoists pretty quickly.

My techniques made it so easy to play various simple melodies in an authentic banjo style.

No other banjo teachers I’ve seen gives their students these simple hand positions or the three foundations. Take Frank for example; “I just wanted to say I love Joffs teaching method. After teaching face-to-face, I went online, releasing videos on YouTube.

I came home and my husband had bought it for me. Prior to last Sunday, I had never touched a banjo. I wish I could send in a little recording. It is amazing for one week, I think. • The next thing was to build a website. It took years to do;
• Planning and building out songs tutorials from start to finish.
• Creating lessons on all aspects of banjo playing.
• Breaking it down, step by step.
• Building a recording studio in my house.
• Using several cameras and recording in slow motion.

Finally. After all that work. I completed what is now probably the most comprehensive online banjo program out there (that I’ve seen).
