With help from Joff

Is there a song that is special for you, that you'd like to play on the banjo? Get help from Joff personally to realise your goal. Joff will identify the best fretting positions and rolls to play your favourite song and make it sound good on the banjo.

If you can already play the banjo, you can purchase this help package on its own.

If you are a beginner, you will need to purchase the Banjo Academy first, in order to learn the basic skills and a few easy songs.  Once you have a feel for the instrument, you will be able to purchase this package and play a song of your own choosing.

What you will get-

Joff’s expert advice about the easiest rolls and techniques to play your song. You will get a chord chart for the song, and some simple instructions giving you the best way to go about it.  You will get TAB written out specially for you, and also a demonstration audio or video recording of Joff playing the song.

You will get direct email support from Joff personally.

You can send Joff a video recording of your progress and he will give you feedback, suggestions and tips.

What you don’t get –

You do not get a detailed instruction video with closeups and slowmotion like the teaching materials in the Banjo Academy.  You are going to have to put in some work yourself.  You will not get pages and pages of TAB with intricate variations written out in detail – you will get suggestions like ‘Use the Square Roll over the C and D chords,’ or ‘You could try a variation with the Mixed roll on the second line of the song’ and so on.

Why should I believe this will work for Me?

It’s really easy to play the banjo in the keys of G and C.  However there are 12 keys in all, including keys like B flat and F sharp. Every song you hear on the radio or spotify has normally been recorded in whatever key makes the singer sound good, so all 12 keys are widely used for every type of music. Most of these keys can seem hard to play on the banjo, especially if you have very little musical experience.

Joff will change the key of the song and make it much easier to play. He will also give you advice about how to use a capo, if necessary; and best of all, will put it in the right key for your voice if you want to sing yourself.

Once you have the song in the correct key, it will be much easier to play.  You will be amazed how many well known songs can be played with the basic hand positions once they are in the optimum banjo key!

If appropriate, Joff will use special studio equipment to change the pitch of the original recording to make it easier to play along with.  He can also slow it down for you if you want.
