Also called Day-O this song was made famous by Harry Belafonte although it’s been around in Jamaica for a long time. Harry sings it in the key of F, but it’s played here in the key of G to make it easier to play on the banjo. You might find it good to sing in G. In part 2 We’re going to look at playing it in F so you can play with Belafonte’s original recording.
